No, it is the opposite, you have no right to use your weapon in an offensive position against a man you believe, without evidence, that you did not witness committed a possible crime. Your weapon is not a license to go out and play cop.

They had zero business/authority to be chasing that man down, he had zero obligations to obey their commands or answer their questions. If they believed he was dangerous, they should have stayed away from him, not bring guns with them.

Yes, I but the burden on the gun owners cause they should have been smarter about this. And just because one was an retired cop doesn’t mean he gets to not follow the law.

We have the constitutional right to defend ourselves, we do not have the right to play cop, go out and arrest someone because we think they might have committed a crime somewhere, draw weapons, and use them in offensive matters that leaves the man defenseless and under our commands. Harass the man till his only option is to attack a shotgun holding man, shoot and kill him in cold blood and call it self defense.

If you believe that was self defense, please leave this country, we don’t need you here screwing it up for the rest of us.

Have a good day.

Everything you post is factually inaccurate and your knowledge of firearms law is non-existant. But I would expect that from you, you know being from Jersey.
