Nope. I haven’t watched in about ten years.

MLB yes. English soccer yes. Hoops and motorsports I care little about. Hockey, I don’t know if I can get used to summer ice hockey. NFL I look forward to when/if it comes. CFB and lower levels of fb, I’ve never lived and died with to the extent of pro fb.

In one sense, yes. I have it on in the background when I am working on certain projects. A replay will make me stop and this gives my hands a break. It also has and end time after a couple of hours.

Since confinement I have been, intending to music. I far prefer it however, I rarely stop and twice I’ve lost track of time and stayed up way too late.

I miss the absence of professional journalism, and have for quite some time now.

Not nearly as much as I thought I would. I do miss either watching the evening Royals game or listening to it on the radio if I’m doing something else but I found that I can fill my time with other things. However, if baseball starts up later this year, I’ll revert back to my old habits.

At first yes, love NHL playoffs. The Bruins looked like they would make another run at the Stanley Cup, but as time as gone by no.

Oh I participated in sports in High School and enjoy college sports. Professional sports? Nope. Quite a while back insane amounts of money ruined it for me.

I have been to Korean baseball games. Be prepared because the bar is set REALLY high for errors. I saw a play involving three players that was so bad I checked the scoreboard to see who got the error. There were no errors.

The cheerleaders though are awesome.

I agree with you quite often, Sam, and I also like your beer.

I used to be a huge NFL fan (Vikings, since I grew up in Minnesota, and now I’m a traitor since I became a Packer fan when I moved to Wisconsin, just in time to cheer for their Super Bowl win in 2010).

In 1998 when the Vikes went 15-1 and lost the NFC championship to the Falcons on their only missed field goal of the entire year, I almost broke the entire left side off my La-Z-Boy, hurt my wrist in the process, and felt something sort of ‘pop’ in my head. At that point I decided it just wasn’t worth being that into it.

Since then my interest has slowly become less and less, and nowadays I may check scores online a couple times during a game, but I don’t watch. The kneeling fiasco only strengthened my resolve.

Having the three hours every Sunday afternoon freed up again is liberating. My girlfriend is a far bigger fan than I am these days.

Any other sports never really held more than casual interest for me, but I did enjoy the Twins winning the World Series in in 87 and 91.

Sports of all kinds could completely go away and it wouldn’t be a big deal to me.

Yes, but I may get over it. The futility that is Minnesota sports has been my constant companion for much of my life. In it’s stead, I have found suitable disappointment in the weather. Last week showed great promise with seventy degrees and sun. This week has brought wind and frost. Truly analogous to every MN sports season...

I don’t ‘say’ wood, I ‘sport’ wood. :-)

Spring returns next Friday...a bit below average until then.

My girlfriend is a far bigger fan than I am these days.

That's because their current marketing strategy is to target females and foreigners.

I miss the 10 seconds... then 5 seconds... then 2 seconds of time they showed the cheerleaders.

But the trend was for them to ultimately avoid showing the cheerleaders at all, or worse replace with male cheerleaders.

So I guess in the end I don't really miss anything about professional sports.
