If you ask me Barr isn’t smart enough to realize his failure to act WILL be the end of the US. In fact the damage he has already done is probably to a great extent why nobody now trusts the CDC or FDA or NIH. Just when we needed to trust them, too.
You do have to wonder if Barr has enough common sense to understand that lack of consequences for these perps will lead to more of the same. I also wonder if he has this stupid idea that he needs to protect the institution more than citizens.it is supposed to serve.
