Some ultraviolet radiation is bad for human tissue, particularly the eye. That dangerous UV light is not included in the therapeutic use of UV light. The UV frequencies used therapeutically dont harm human tissue but are deadly for viruses.
Do just a little research and you will learn which of the UV/a, UVb, and UVc wave lengths are damaging to tissues.
I also thought the President was talking about using aerosol mists to kill the virus when it is airborne or in the breathing passages. This all came up when the use of disinfectants was being discussed. Thought the President misspoke and said injected as opposed to aerosol spray. Not sure how effective it would be but it is something to think about .

Probably kills of the bugs a lot faster than it damages the tissue...
