The coronavirus dominates the news on every network. NBC Nightly News had covered the virus that started in China since Jan. 17, the “first day the networks arrived at the coronavirus story.” None of the on-air coverage between Sept. 1, 2019 - April 14, 2020 mentioned how the network’s parent company is building a theme park … in China. In fact, NBC News has made only one online mention in six months of the Universal Studios theme park being built in China’s capital of Beijing. If the positive coverage of China’s handling of the coronavirus coming from NBC News seemed suspect, perhaps one reason is because its parent company Comcast happens to be building an entire Universal Studios theme park in Beijing.

Don’t speak ill of the chi-coms. Ask the NBA. Speaking of the NBA isn’t ironic that their season is in limbo all because of the chi-com flu.

Yes, NBC is CCP censored. They have billions riding on China. Besides the theme park they are building, they also have a huge programming staff in Beijing. They have Universal studios which hopes to sell movies in China. A good China showing will double the movie sales. And then there is NBC international and CNBC which are broadcast within Hong Kong and mainland China. So, you can expect MSNBC and NBC to be very Chinese friendly. Remember, China threw out the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal staffs. But they did not throw out NBC reporters. They are still there. They are the China fiendly ones. The CCP is watching Comcast and pulling strings. I know. I just retired from Comcast.

By the way. You have Chinese programmers (living and working in the Chinese capital) writing code that goes in your Comcast cable box.

You’ve got the same dynamic at work with Disney, their Shanghai theme park and movie releases in China, and ABC news.
