Lived in San Diego when Gwynn was at his prime. Jack Murphy Stadium was walking distance from our apartment. Thought the kids would enjoy Opening Day fireworks, but alas, they were too young and scared.

Was sorry to see the Yanks whip them in 1998, but the best team won.
