I have a couple of young people who moved in next to me who seem to be about the millennial age I gotta tell, its bizarre. They avoid eye contact, its kind of weird. I dont know what he does, but shes an engineer of some kind. We havent talked at all really, so how the hell would I know that?
Well, she has two bumper stickers on her car. One says something like Im a woman engineer, and the other one says Warren 2020.
When they first moved in over a year ago, it was right around Thanksgiving, maybe a week before. I was making apple pies for our dinner (I make them from scratch, theyre really good) and I had an extra pie because of my relatives like to bring just about a pie for every single person at the party. So I thought it might be nice to bring them over a pie to say hello, but they kind of kept dodging us. Like they run out the front door and jump in the car really quick if they see us.
Well, I guess her with that Elizabeth Warren sticker, and me With my navy hat and my flag all the way up the flagpole It kind of brings a smile to my face in a way that they are avoiding me if thats what it is :-)
Im going to have to buy me a Gadsden Flag...
I think a Trump flag would maybe make them move out I am sure she would NEVER be able to handle that a complete freak out!!
I like flying quite a few different American flags (including the Gadsden flag). Look at the history, and you can display a flag on more than just the officially recognized holidays:
Alamo flag (Feb. 23 - Mar. 6)
Texas Brigade flag (May 31 - June 1)
Bunker Hill flag (June 17)
Fort Moultrie flag (June 28)
Bennington flag (Aug. 16)
Plattsburgh flag ((Sept. 6-11)
Bonnie Blue flag (Sept. 23)
Gonzales flag (Oct. 2)
Some other favorites include the Massachusetts Navy flag ("AN APPEAL TO HEAVEN") and the Missouri battle flag. Not sure the neighbors recognize them all, but most folks who might be offended are also incredibly ignorant, so I haven't had any complaints yet..
