I'd like to have some reports from people on FR who really know what it's like, at least for them. I don't mean doctors (which is great, but you're possibly seeing just the worst of it), I mean patients who actually suffer(?) from it.
I think it would be better to have a real feel about it. Instead of the automatic "you're gonna die!" newsfeed, I'd like to hear from real patients.
I'm aware some are really in bad shape. But occasionally we hear about a person who had something not fun for 3 days, and now is fine.
FTR, my elder BIL and household were exposed to a girl who tested positive (after being told by her employer that she should because a woman was talking to her alot who got sick with it). They all live within 20 minutes of us.
Please post experiences and updates!
Ping - to COVID patients/connections!
I had three family members that posted vanity threads and died within six hours.

That explains a lot.
I had something in late January that I wonder if it was Covid19. Chest tightness, extreme fatigue. I stopped eating for 4 days, which is highly unusual for me. When I was younger, I was the only mono patient who gained weight. I eat when I'm sick. I told my boss that I had the plague. Little did I know what was coming.
32 year old son of an old acquaintance died about a week or so ago. He has done a lot of drugs for years so obviously not in good shape, and was in rehab, and the place did not isolate one other sick person there.
I've posted quite a few and still here...so far. Friends may come and friends may go, but enemies remain forever. Don't make them unless you have to.
Two people attached to my workplace/department (Maryland). Just got the news yesterday. Several people in the wider institution tested positive previously.
My 2.5 year old niece tested positive. She was born at 24 weeks so has pre-existing lung issues. She had a high fever for a few days and a cough. She has made a complete recovery.
My 49 year old neighbor tested positive. He is a doctor and I guess got it from a patient. His family went into quarentine. No one else (wife, also a doctor, and 2 teenagers) got sick. Neighbor has made a complete recovery and was never hospitalized.
bumblegunner, I’m still here
Mild criticism of vanity threads will make enemies?
You're about a snowflake, huh?
I have a stupid question. The symptoms associated with this covid-19 is very similar to bouts of flu I experienced in the past. What’s to differentiate between the annual flu and this covid19?
Praise Jesus, I was worried.
What he said.
I remember last March/April I got a flu from coworker and I was bed ridden for 2 weeks. Felt like I was going to die. I stopped eating and tried natural remedies mostly, Apple Cider Vinegar, Oregano Oil in water, raw garlic, vitamin C super doses. Once the fever broke it slowly got better but was still super tired, fatigued and achey muscles. If Covid19 is worse than that, then I’d choose death if I get it.
My daughter thought she had the flu in early Feb. and since she teaches she was urged to get a flu test...negative. Now shes convinced she had Corona as her symptoms were more in line with it than the flu. She lives in CA. where theyre starting to think it appeared much earlier than the east coast.
My son had flu symptoms and had a flu test and it was indeed the flu.
Don’t know of anybody family or friends with covid19. Luckily in Texas(knocking on wood) the virus is light. All we have to deal with is the corn pone hitlerian, Clay Jenkins.
4 relatives in Nashville positive. x1 sent home, x1 on just removed from vent with QT problems and still in ICU. Next door neighbor is firefighter and on quarantine today after 2 tested positive. Best man at wedding a policeman and had positive contact with first LRPD officer confirmed with COVID. Yeah.....nervous here.
