Sorry, I don’t see your point. You cited death stats since last Monday which would be after the March 24th directive from the CDC to change the policy.
There is always data manipulation. The cops manipulate statistics to make the crime rate appear lower. The schools manipulate data to make it appear kids are learning. The “scientists” manipulate temperature readings to create a narrative about global warming. And so on...
...No surprise that the establishment will want to justify their extreme measures by manipulating the death toll higher. Ironically, the exact opposite of what the Chinese are doing, manipulating the data to show fewer deaths.
If they die one second earlier because CCP-19 hastened their death, CCP-19 killed them.
It’s what this disease, and many others, do - weaken you and accelerate your death.
Of course, this is petty quibbling. One second is a logical extreme that serves to illustrate the point. Most people that die of CCP-19 accelerated causes would have had months, years or even decades before their “normal” death. Who knows if a cure or treatment would have been discovered before then?
And people that might have had a disease, might not have died from it, except it snowballed from the effects of CCP-19.
There is immediate. There is underlying.
Presumptive positive shouldn’t count as either if the data is going to be used as an argument for economic suicide.
By your logic, nobody dies of the flu, or from HIV, or from the common cold.

From what I’ve read, the vast majority of deaths attributed to Covid-19 are actually due to a combination of it with other pre-existing conditions.
So, shouldn’t they be honest with that on the death certificate? Placing other factors on page 2 doesn’t quite cut it. IMO
It would be pretty naive to think Andrew Cuomo and NY Democrats are capable of playing that game.
I wouldn’t care, except they are misleading everyone into thinking all these people are dropping dead soly from Covid. So people panic, and accept self-quarantine and killing our economy. It’s manipulative as hell, and just an awful thing to do to us.
Most everyone who learns that for healthy people, your odds of dying from Covid-19 is 3 in 10,000, get furious from the deception. So they hide it, on purpose.
It’s flat out deception, to hide their real motives and agenda. Which is socialism, via complete dependence on government. They want to force universal basic income down our throats, by forcing us plebes to all go bankrupt and take their friken handouts, forever.
3 months of this, and we’ll have 50 million brand new welfare dependents. And the worst part is it’s deplorables who lose first. Small business owners, independent contractors, entrepreneurs. Forced to take monthly stipends because they created a depression, on purpose.

Wouldn't surprise me if many of the initial videos coming out of China of pleading doctors and hospitals full of bodies in hallways was ENTIRELY staged to enable our HOSTILE media to HYPE the panic, thus triggering massive shutdowns in the U.S. thereby WRECKING our economy. I'm not saying the Wuhan virus isn't real but IMO it's no greater threat than the TYPICAL FLU so this MEDIA HYPE is meant to KILL TRUMP'S ECONOMIC SUCCESSES AS WELL AS HIS RE-ELECTION BID.

Mine was a back-of-the-napkin count, based upon proportion of NYC/NY deaths/year by population from data at hand. Regardless, the point holds (perhaps even more strongly than I thought) - the number dying from COVID-19 in NYC dwarfs any mis-categorization issues.
