Here’s the one thing we have going for us when it comes to getting back up and running: Everyone wants to get back to the rip-roaring economy we had going before this hit. There were more Americans in the workforce than ever making better wages than ever. Most everyone has skin in this game. And that’s some strong motivation.

NOT everyone has skin in this game.
Because of the size of government, social agencies, and both inner city dependence and small town dependence, the welfare state is both a bigger employer and provider than the private sector economy in huge swaths of this country.
There are large numbers of people who were hurt by the Trump Recovery, because they thrive on dependence. And yes, I’m not just talking about clerks at the unemployment office or the public housing department; I’m talking about politicians, from local to national.
They benefit when the economy suffers. And they have immense power.
