Professors hold themselves above the peons. Journalism majors don’t have to take math or science or anything difficult as far as I know-i may be wrong. Who cares what they think.

“Jouranlism schools” are what Home Economics courses used to be, before Feminism hit the scene. An easy “course” for those who couldn’t quite cut it in the Liberal Arts classes.

Their science & math requirements are whatever is required by the schools liberal arts program. So a minimal grounding at vest & its probably watered down.

Wall Street Journal reported on a study of college majors ranking them on the SAT tests of those in the major and upon the difficulty of the course material in each major.

Journalism was next to last in both measures.
Education was last on both majors.

The only conclusion that can be made is that the opinions of a professor (educator) of journalism should be ignored.
