Last year, Glacier National Park in Montana began removing signs that warned visitors the park’s gigantic glaciers would start melting away by 2020 due to global warming. Park officials altered other climate change flair such as brochures and displays to postpone the threat to sometime in “future generations.”
Like so many claims about the catastrophic consequences of anthropogenic global warming, predictions about disappearing glaciers were quickly memory-holed. And, as usual, the experts behind the flawed science that misled millions of people to believe their actions would cause the destruction of one of nature’s most awesome sights didn’t apologize. No scientist or government official even had the guts to stand up and say, “Oops, my bad.”

We better get to stepping on the 100k-220k deaths in 2 weeks. We have what 4k and we hospitals don’t have 100k plus people on ventilators right now. This has the ring of a Cat5 hurricane 3 days out ring to it. I thin we come in way lower on the deaths, like 20k.
This was the most sensible article I’ve on this whole mess. We are torching our economy bases on fast-moving, limited data. The unemployment numbers are real and that pain will have long-term impacts.

On a related note, I’m hearing in Orlando that the hospitals are empty. This thing is NOT turning into the enemy they promised.

I think, and mark my words, that this virus has been around since at least October 2019. If so, then most people have been exposed to this virus. Many have already gone through it, my wife and I included during Christmas 2019. I work with many from Wuhan so it is plausible.
Since the entire population has been exposed already, this thing is going to burn out quickly, by June 2020.
yes, I absolutely believe I had it and my 83 yo cleaning lady at my office building absolutely had it. We’re both fine. I PRAY Trump has the balls to stand up to fauci, et al, in the next 2 weeks when all the doom doesn’t come to fruition.
My friend was in Orlando over the weekend.
He said they are practicing social distancing there like nothing he has ever seen.
Maybe that explains the mystery.

Wow, that’s some weapons-grade fear-mongering bulls**t right there. As of yesterday, the CDC reported 186,000 CASES in the US. Not “hospital admissions”, CASES. And of course, we never get info as far as how many ICU beds there are, how many are available, and what is the typical number of ICU beds available. It’s all just, “Keep hiding under your beds because this thing COULD...”

I was at Glacier a few years back. I was eating a place at the place I was staying and a group of teachers from California were there. They asked the owner about the Glaciers and he told them some years they grow and some they are smaller. They all asked how they could grow. He calmly explained to them it depended on the amount of snow that winter.
Their whole world view challenged. I would bet they discussed later and assumed they were being lied to by the owner who lives there.

It may, but you’ll never know it until after the election thanks to the DNC, their supporters, and the media. They’re gambling this will be enough to blame Trump in some way to get him out and an absolute idiot like Biden in. And that’s all this thing is. It’s no different than every year for about a century. Just better publicity.

I have loved what our president has done for this country coming on the heels of Obozo. However, I feel like he got played on this by the same type of alarmists in the climate camp.
It’s clear that these doctors and scientists do not give a crap about the economic impact. They have tunnel vision about fighting this virus so “torpedoes be damned, full speed ahead”. I think the president was on better footing when he talked about a way to get the economy going again while taking every precautions possible.
But by extending the economic shutdown as a federal mandate, he’s giving the Dimms everything they need to blame him for the inevitable collapse. And they will, because they are scum, power-mad nutjobs. In fact it may come to light eventually that destroying the economy, not saving lives, was the actual intended outcome. We shall see.
