Nursed my kid, 34, thru illness with fever, cough back in Jan. She seemed to get well but was alarmed she couldn't taste anything. She went to an ENT doc who even did a CT scan of nasal area. All clear. Doc said he did not know what it was! Within a week, sense of taste returned.

Couple of weeks ago, I left work early and canceled rest of week. Felt terribly nauseous, feverish with only 1 degree increase, pit of stomach raw and for first time drank gatorade and no coffee. Very tired. Slowly recovered but still get the chills if I overdo it. Throat was sore, but no cough.

I don't know if I had this sars bug and my county was refusing to test until recently. If we had drive through testing, I would have gone just to know. Soon there will be a blood test to tell if you've developed antibodies afterwords.
