Same here. Losing a beloved parent is NEVER easy.
I recall one of my first thoughts when my dad died a few years ago. “I feel like a 61 y/o orphan!”. And I did for a good while.
My mom had passed some 30 years before.
My mother died 40 years ago and I was thinking about her just last night, I’m 64.
