I can hear it now from every RINO. “But, but... how will I listen to classical music and that stupid car show.” Which always seems to derail any defunding effort.

‘due to a pattern of false and misleading information’

Self referential, as usual. Leftists are nothing if not consistent. In this case, Trump’s unfiltered message has been getting delivered to their gullible audience for weeks. They may discover that he isn’t a monster or a buffoon, if it isn’t stopped.

The option of streaming over the ‘net has made NPR and PBS pointless. Pull the plug on them and whatever has any popularity will find another (privately funded) host to parasitize.

The only people even listening to NPR are people like my brother in law, who is a die hard Trump hater. Now and then he posts crap on Facebook and I poke the bear. It’s okay, my husband doesn’t like him either.

You are correct. Specific lists of what they claim is not what the propaganda media do. They just make global accusations, which usually cannot be substantiated in any way. It is very frustrating.

Yes. After spending $2 Trillion on the war on CCP-Coronavirus, waste will HAVE TO BE CUT. NPR and PBS cur off the gubmint teat sounds like a plan.

Here in Kanadahar, the CCCP-BC (CBC/Radio-Canada) needs to be PRIVATIZED! That would save billions.

The real reason.
Here’s an indisputable fact: President Donald Trump is as popular today as he has been since his first day in office

I say if they don’t air the Trump show they do not get a seat in the press room not just PBS but all of them. PBS should be defunded if they won’t cover the President, that is what the Govt funds them.

The thing is, the ones calling others liar are the actual liars. They can’t stand being wrong, literally. This inability to accept they are wrong is what gurantees bloodshed some time up ahead.

“wants listeners to know that they’re looking out for them”

Is that what our news outlets are supposed to do?

File a complaint with the FCC. NPR is the network, the local NPR AFFILIATE is a local station that takes the network feed. They have to fund raise to stay in existence. Don’t donate and encourage others not to as well. File letters of objection to the FCC when their license comes up for renewal.

BTW, the State of Washington must file their FCC renewal paperwork by the end of October 2021.

There is nothing a radio station fears more than letters to the FCC stating objections to renewal of a broadcast license.

Most of the time FReepers want to see the licenses of broadcast networks pulled. They can’t because networks aren’t license holders. BUT...local radio stations are and you can wreak havoc with a station if they have to respond to complaints they are not “broadcasting in the public good.”

Also send letters of objection to the station directly and state in the letter that you wish the letter to be placed in the station’s “public file.” This is a file required to be maintained by the station and could be used to deny a station a license renewal.

If NPR is broadcasting the task force press conference and the station chooses not to take the feed, it’s on the local affiliate.

I'm thinking nobody tunes into an NPR station to hear President Trump so no big loss.

Defund them anyhow!
