I have a .17 Remington and love it. I use it for coyotes who creep up and threaten our chickens.

An old friend of mine had a bolt gun in .17 Remington back around 1976-77, and I remember it shot so fast and flat we could shoot running rabbits out to 75 yards or so without having to lead them at all.
