On Tuesday New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said there are “probably “hundreds of thousands of people” who have already had COVID-19, didn’t know they had it, and recovered. Cuomo continued to say these New Yorkers “should be tested for antibodies so they could go back to work and keep the economy going.”
And now there is a test that will show if a person was already infected by the coronavirus and have developed anti-bodies.
This new test could help put Americans back to work sooner rather than later.

On New Year's Eve Day, I woke up with a low grade fever, upper-respiratory congestion, a dry cough, and mild body aches. This lasted a three days and then went away. I suspect that I didn't have the Wuhan Chinese Virus; rather, I had a case of the regular, ordinary influenza that affects millions of Americans and kills thousands of them every year, except my case was mild because I had the flu shot in October.
Not by genetics, maybe luck, but more likely by the grace of God.
Exactly....only God saved me from doing some pretty stupid things.

I’ve had bronchitis 3-4 times in my life and it’s definitely not that. I’ve had multiple colds over the years, but they’ve always involved sneezing and a runny nose, which I don’t have. I’ve never been diagnosed with allergies but I did go camping the weekend of March 13th, although that doesn’t explain the fever. And for the record, I’ve never had the flu, but I don’t feel like I’ve been “hit by a truck,” like most flu victims say.
If it hadn’t been for this Chinese virus I’d have just said I felt “under the weather” for a week so no biggie. However, due to all the hype and guilt tripping by the media and the Chicken Littles on this board, my health concerns have increased when in reality it’s probably nothing. 🤬
You’re one of the active posters on this board proclaiming “the sky is falling and we’re all gonna die” because of the Chinese virus, and then you flippantly dismiss my legitimate health concerns. You reap what you sow with all your overwrought hype.

The H1N1 flu has been around for more than 100 years. You are telling me that you have never been outside, interacting with people in the past 100 years?
You do not have to “get sick” to have been exposed, and to have your body generate antibodies to it. Your grandfather could have coughed near you, when you were two years old.
I am not sure how many times the needs to be explained. But tell me again how you never have been sick a day in your life. Ma’am.

Go read a few books about viruses and pandemics. There are some good ones out there about 1918. They are a good start. Then go to Science.org and read their coronavirus and pandemic journal articles.

Ah yea that certainly makes things difficult. I haven’t had a doctor since I moved out of my parents’ house. Never needed one til I got married and now the wife makes me go if I have strep or a cough. So the first couple times just went to an emergency clinic, but finally took the time a couple months ago to actually find an actual doc.
