The Trump campaign released a timeline of actions on the Chinese coronavirus COVID-19 taken by President Trump and his administration since early January through March 18. The virus originated in late November in the city of Wuhan, Hubei province in China. The communist Chinese government covered-up and lied about the virus, slowing the worlds reaction and unleashing the pandemic.
Critics of Trump have accused him of doing nothing or not enough to contain the virus in the early days of January and February. This timeline shows that to not be true, but it does not account for Trumps overly optimistic comments made even as he ramped up the government machinery to fight the virus, nor the snafus involving the CDC and FDA regarding testing for the virus that greatly hampered the nations efforts. Regardless of those faults, the United States is in a much better position than Europe in dealing with the virus.
The timeline as released by the Trump campaign:
December 31: China reports the discovery of the coronavirus to the World Health Organization.
January 6: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a travel notice for Wuhan, China due to the spreading coronavirus.
January 7: The CDC established a coronavirus incident management system to better share and respond to information about the virus.

The Trump Campaign is ramping up and pre-emptively addressing what is sure to be a massive missile attack tomorrow by the Biden campaign about Trump’s alleged ineptitude and culpability in the crisis.
Wrong. I see no evidence that PDJT addressed this issue in 2018 which he should have done had his advisor Karnak been on the ball. :-)
Per Mark Twain: “No amount of evidence will ever persuade and idiot.” And we are surrounded by them.

Dems would be ill advised to play the political blame game this early.
It will backfire.
If impeachment is any guide, however, they will proceed full force.
:-) You know that NOTHING that is presented to them will be acceptable. Grrrrrrrr! How long before ‘they’ take the chinese stance that it was all started by the U.S. military?
What else are the Democrats going to do? Trying to paint the image of Trump as a bumbler? Yeah, right! He’s a tool of the Russians. He’s corrupt. He’s a racist. Now he’s inept and doesn’t care about the American people catching the virus. Whatever. There’s a reason why 55% of the American people support the president in this crisis. President Trump is showing the executive skills needed at this time. All the RAT narratives have failed, and this one will too. Imagine Biden trying to handle this situation! The Trump campaign will have a field day showing a mentally deficient Slow Joe in numerous commercials during this campaign!
Democrats are gleefully spreading corona-madness -—they’re that desperate for power.
So loathsome and evil, they would destroy hard working people, their jobs, our economy, to accomplish their arrogant goals.
Plus there’s the unquestioning Bernie Bro youths who have been brainwashed in public schools by moronic progressive teachers,
that the Constitution is outdated nonsense, completely useless, written by a bunch of Christian white men.
Their mantra is: “The government is going to give me free stuff so I am down with whatever controls government deems necessary.”
How long before they take the chinese stance that it was all started by the U.S. military?
You mean Rachel Madcow hasn’t taken that stance yet?
I realize it is unacceptable to them, but I am still going to call them out in a totally unacceptable way. :-)
I think the reason for that is there has not yet been a sustained campaign against Trump's alleged ineptitude and crisis bungling from the Dem Super PACs or the Biden campaign. Once that starts, we can expect the 55% number to go down, especially as the number of US cases (not deaths) explodes and overtakes China as the number 1 region (most cases, not deaths) in the world. That will be a sobering statistic which will be pinned on Trump.
I agree the Democrats will launch an all out blame campaign on Trump, but let’s not be so pessimistic. I think sometimes in our little FR bubble we get a jaundiced perspective of the world. Have faith there are far more people who support this president than we lead ourselves to believe is the case.
I wonder if Biden has been infected he been a bit absent. Funny if takes president Trumps malaria cocktail to save himself.
Frankly, it is a realistic assessment. Global pandemic tanks the economy into the worst spiral since the Great Depression, leading to 20% unemployment (re: Mnuchin). It is only fair to assume this will be blamed on the current President, who will be fighting astronomical odds for reelection.
Giving the presidency back to the Democrats is the end of America. I respect your opinion, but will not share your pessimism.
Fri Jan 31, 2020, a few weeks before #Coronavirus has officially spread to other countries (which led to the bad stock market week Feb 24-Feb 28), the Trump Admin announced travel restrictions on China. Here is some of the reporting it generated.
I would like to see a credible poll (the key word being “credible”) asking people if they feel that Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders would be doing a better job right now than President Trump in handling the current pandemic.
I can just see Biden elected, choses Hillary as VP, 6 months later Hillarycide, and she choses Pelosi as her VP. 1 off the mouthy Muzzies will take over as House Speaker. NIGHTMARE.
MSM & Democrats & LEFTists (but I repeat myself) deeply desire to “memory hole” THEIR activities fro the end of November to early February. You know, that 24/7 discussion of the urgent and preoccupying danger to the entire United States of America, the badorangeman in the White House and the need to impeach him!
