Exactly. Trump is not in control right now. They love this. He has to do what medical authorities recommend. Only defeating the virus before the economy collapses will save Trump. Or, rising up against the ridiculous gov’t overreach.

If you ever dare mention the infection and death rates of the common flu or, dare to compare the Wuhan virus to any of the other 18 Coronavirus’ on this board there is a cadre of Freeper Littles who will descend upon you like liberals whose great god Abortion is being threatened.

These people are so fearful of this viral outbreak they have lost any and all ability of perspective. And, if you bring up “perspective” they treat the very concept as Satan treats The Cross and Holy Water.

Yes, my friends, there are Freepers with Liberal Hysteria Tendencies on FreeRepublic. And, any article along these lines will set them off.

Sorry, but this is not the flu. It is far more infectious, and in certain populations it is far more deadly.

And it’s nowhere near the reach and scope of SARS.

SARS resulted in 744 deaths globally.

To date COVID-19 is at 11397.

Read one more word by this idiot at your own peril.

Coronavirus in N.Y.: ‘Deluge’ of Cases Begins Hitting Hospitals
In a startlingly quick ascent, officials reported on Friday that the state was closing in on 8,000 positive tests, about half the cases in the country. The number was 10 times higher than what was reported earlier in the week. In the Bronx, doctors at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center say they have only a few remaining ventilators for patients who need them to breathe...

Yes, the panic is overblown....but I don’t see how every country closing it’s borders, widespread resentment towards our reliance on China, and fear of the homeless population spreading this vitus helps the Democrat agenda in any way.... All of these things play right into Trump’s hands

86% of people infected have no symptoms at all – they are basically immune.

Of the 14% who show symptoms, 82% of those are mild and resolve themselves.

This leaves 14% x 18% = .14 x .18 = .0252 ~ 2.5% who are severe or critical, almost all of whom are elderly and with existing conditions like cancer, leukemia, heart disease, smokers, vapers, emphysema, liver and kidney disease.

About 3 million people die (a little less than 1%) in the United States each year from all causes, mostly elderly again, it doesn’t harm society. So now, at the worst, we may - may have 7 million die this year, again mostly elderly, - it will not affect anything to lose these people, they are just dying a little sooner than they would have.

State Governors are destroying our economy and society to “protect the vulnerable” – the extra 1.5% who are already sick and would die in a few years anyway.

They are yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theatre, when all there is a cigarette smoldering in a corner.

The next thing will be the cancellation of elections to maintain their new dictatorial powers.

More will die from shortages of blood from cancellation of blood drives than will die from the virus – and these deaths will be the young and otherwise healthy – car accidents., etc.

Minorities should be up in arms! Their future is being sacrificed for a small number of old already sick white people near the end of their lives.

I am not smart enough to know what is happening, but I know this:

American investors are not being helpful in this time of need at all. Who are all these people who wake up every day and SELL, SELL, SELL.

I THINK IT IS A DISGRACE AND I THING IT IS TOTALLY UNPATRIOTIC. I hope I never have to deal with such people who do not care about this wonderful country or their futures or their families.

They just keep giving the order to SELL STOCKS and I despise them.

“I DON’T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I’M SICK AND TIRED OF IT.”

This is the American way, and what will bring an end to the madness. There’s only so much we’ll take when it comes to having our freedom denied, and it’ll be over.
