Doctors and nurses in Iran have appeared as real heroes in the battle against the coronavirus. In the past few days, deaths of several brave and dedicated nurses have been reported in various cities of Iran. According to media reports and even comments by Tehran officials, most of the deaths were due to a lack of medical equipment and virus protection gears. With more coronavirus infections accumulating in hospitals and clinics, healthcare workers with no facilities and equipment are under incredible pressure, with many cut off from the world and their families. Dr. Hamid Latifi is the first Canadian to die from Coronavirus on February 25, 2020, at Ghaem Hospital in Rasht. He was a well-known experienced physician. A family member at a memorial service said: "About 48 hours before his death, we learned that he caught Coronavirus, even two hours before his death, hospital officials refused to confirm it."

In Its statement, The Iranian medical System said the organization knew Narges Khanali Zadeh had died of Coronavirus, but because of the instructions of higher authorities, that the public should not be made aware that this young nurse died from a lack of protective gear. They insisted that her death was caused by influenzas and not from Coronavirus and did not test her for Coronavirus and she died a couple of days later. Nurse Narges Khanal Zadeh, a hardworking and selfless nurse died due to a lack of a Coronavirus test kit. She was declared positive 7 days after her death.
Someone Twitted: "Due to the lack of Coronavirus test kit, Narges Khanali a dedicated nurse is declared positive nine days after her death, but Mustafa Pour Mohammadi, one of the officials responsible for the massacre of 30,000 prisoners in 1988, had a fever at 8 am, at 10 am he was declared Positive, quarantined at noon and himself tweeted about his health at night. "
Mehdi Hosseininejad, head of the Kerman Province Mining and Industry Organization (the southern province in Iran), said that 41% of people infected with Coronavirus in this province are doctors, nurses, and hospital staff. He said: The problem is lack of masks, alcohol, and gloves."
The medical staff in Gilan (Northern province in Iran), which has the highest number of deaths and infected in Iran, is facing a severe shortage of equipment. Treatment staff at Langrood Hospital in Gilan called for urgent help on social media.
Jawad Tavakoli, a member of the board of directors of nurses in Mashhad (Northeastern Iran) wrote: "Nurses in some hospitals are lacking complete protective gear such as Gown, N 95 mask, gloves, and disinfectants."
In recent days, videos of anger and disgust expressed by hospital staff over the lack of medical equipment have been released. In one of these videos, the head nurse of Razi Hospital in Rasht talks angrily about the lack of facilities for staff and the lack of medication.
But the question is why the government and the IRGC with ample facilities are not willing to help and distribute sanitary materials, and why in such a dire situation the regime only cares about Syria and Iraq and its other proxy forces? The answer is given by Shamkhani secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran in his trip to Iraq unexpectedly in the wake of the Coronavirus crisis. He is the first Iranian security official to visit Iraqi intelligence and political officials after Qassem Soleimani's death. In his meetings, he promised Iraqi officials that Iran would help Iraq fight Coronavirus!
Iran's plan to help Iraq angered the people and even the regimes MPs. The day after Shamkhani's trip, according to a The Iraqi television station, IRGC sent 2 million masks and equipment to the FTO-listed terrorist group Hashd al-Sha'abi. This Iraqi television station removed the news after public outrage on social media.
Iran's assistance to its proxy forces in the current crisis come from Tehran's fears of the consequences of the post-Coronavirus era and its future prospects and their fear of peoples combat with Coronavirus becoming a part of a full-fledged war with Regime, thus seeking consolidation and providing assistance to their proxy forces so that the region does not undergo a major transformation.

That is heart breaking. Even with those extreme shortages, the selfless nurses still go to work and attempt to save people -- knowing it is a death sentence for many of them.
Our local hospital is out of N 95 masks, this MUST be a priority. With many nurses forced to stay home with children because schools are closed, we at least need to protect the ones who remain at work by providing proper equipment. We've had months to get these manufactured, let's get this done.
