These remarks by @SenSchumer were inexcusable. Chief Justice Roberts was right to call him on his comments. I hope the Senator, whom I’ve long admired and consider a friend, apologizes and takes back his implicit threat. It’s beneath him and his office.
I saw a breaking news item that Chucky is going to be censured by Josh Hawley (R) tomorrow morning. Calls are growing for him to step down from both sides of the aisle.
Call your senators tomorrow and demand they censure and remove him from leadership. They need to hear from us!
Chuckie sets a precedence. If nothing happens to him it will be come open season on courts/Justices/Judges. How can anyone going forward be prosecuted?

Tribe's entire career, I think he is now an octogenarian, has been to be the semi-official progressive, Harvard anointed face of the Supreme Court. Sen. Schumer has committed the unforgivable sin in Washington, he accidentally told the truth.
In this case Schumer accidentally revealed the reality of the modern supreme court, it is an entirely partisan organization made so by Democrats. It is not a temple of detached, nonpartisan, august justices concerned only with jurisprudence, it is rather a machine to effect progressive political ambitions. It has become clear not just from the votes of the court made by the four leftist justices but from the Cavanaugh confirmation hearings, the Thomas hearings and the Bork hearings that the Supreme Court, or at least four justices, has become a partisan political weapon.
Exposing the court for what it is threatens Tribe's rice bowl, his standing as an interpreter of the court, his power to influence appointments and to structure confirmation hearings with his imprimatur or with his condemnation. Finally in his advanced age and station, Lawrence Tribe has to defend his life's work as having some meaning beyond rank partisanship. He has to defend the court as an respected institution of law rather than another political sinkhole in the swamp. Schumer has exposed the truth.
