The story of the ominous coronavirus, which has increasingly been dominating the news cycle, has produced a bit of an outbreak of bad behavior among many of those personalities in the national spotlight.

As reported by the AP, the Democratic debate stage on Tuesday was a hotbed of misinformation and false allegations around the global epidemic.

Joe Biden was quick to blame President Trump. “We [The Obama-Biden Administration] increased the budget of the CDC,” he said. Trump, he added “wiped all that out….He cut the funding for the entire effort.”

Of course, no big news event would be complete without someone from Hollywood imparting their wisdom on the matter.

Actor Jason Alexander tweeted,:“You realize if coronavirus does what scientists say, it means that Trump and GOP would rather see you and yours sicken and die rather than admit they were/are wrong.”

George is gettin’ angry.

We don’t yet know how bad the coronavirus is going to get but we do know that people are afraid. It would be nice if newsmakers, politicians and media alike could step back for one moment from making everything about Donald Trump. It may give them temporary validation or an endorphin rush but it just drives up our national anxiety and we don’t need that.

Especially not now.

If there are major problems, it will be local officials who are on the line...

National politics will be in a different universe.

Obama increased the budget by half a billion to train other countries to deal with ebola
Which was accomplished
Which is why it was cut

None of the money earmarked for that program could have been quickly moved to deal with this
As Trump said, when proposing the cuts, he wanted the flexibiity to hire the experts he needed, not to fund CDC programs no longer needed or not able to be targeted as needed

Joe Biden is a liar, as all Democrat politicians are liars.

The dems are attempting to create an “issue” out of this illness all for political gain, typical democrats, hurting their own constituents. That is the “hoax” Trump refers to, their “strategy” is a hoax.

George Costanza is commenting on a virus that’s really about nothing. Glad he stays in character for decades.
