Staff doesn't vote. I'm not saying they aren't influential, but in the end they don't vote and they don't put their names on legislation.
Senators: Two six year terms.
House Members: Six two year terms.
No, they don’t put their names on legislation, and they don’t vote. Where do you think Obamacare came from? Nancy Pelosi working hard at home on her computer? It came from staff who was just eagerly waiting for an opportunity to pop that legislation.
You want to triple or more that? Put in term limits. I see it here all the time in California, some idiotic idea gets passed around by staff waiting for some idiot who just got elected to their conveyor belt job to put their name on it and get it passed.
And yes, from the same office, I’ll see the same push to pass the same legislation even when the name on the office changes hands.
