I stayed up late to watch the India visit live, since I figured if I didn't see it firsthand I may miss something important. After some ceremonial stuff and a private meet, Trump and Modi came out and had a joint press conference, where they basically gave a progress report on what's going on. Trade is big on the table, but what really made my ears go to points was the announcement of an agreement/MOU concerning pharmaceutical product safety. Looking at the big picture, it looks like there is a continental shift towards India in the works for the future of manufacturing in Asia - POTUS is getting set to cut the Chicoms loose. Have not heard anyone in the media point any of this out, go into any detail about it - maybe due to their Chicom paymasters or else they're just stupid. It's best to have manufacturing all come back home, of course, but there are some things that aren't easily made or grown over here, like certain vitamin supplements if not medications. They might could be, but not in the quantity needed at a price point that would be workable.

I have wondered why we didn’t involve India, a democracy, instead of China and the conclusion I came to was the Clintons and their Chinese and maybe Walmart payoffs got the ball rolling. Maybe I’m wrong..don’t know.

“Looking at the big picture, it looks like there is a continental shift towards India in the works for the future of manufacturing in Asia...”

Numerous private equity firms have been leaving China and heading for SE Asia and India since 2011. By 2030, half the population in China will be 50-years of age and older. By that same year, half the population of India will be 30-years of age and younger. The future is India.
