I was born in 1956. Ask any young person today, with a ‘’communications degree’’ how to write a letter, what a greeting is, the body of the letter and the salutation and you might as well be trying to ask a monkey to explain quantum physics. Most of these kids are literally that dumb.
Yea, but they can text like a mad men. They use both thumbs.
They are. Try working with one in a business environment. Be prepared to get emails that should be a sentence, but are a paragraph. And a paragraph becomes three, etc.
I once was on a mass email where a communications major sent out a email to a bunch of people that was almost two full pages, filled with excess verbiage and that read like it was written for a bunch of middle school kids. Someone did a reply all and reduced it to about 6 bullet points of one or two sentences each.
That made the “communications” major cry how mean that was to do.
