BTW, I might have discovered a way to drink as much as I want without getting falling down drunk on my last cruise. I had the premium drink package (the upgrade was very cheap) and I hit the booze hard. I mean I probably drank more in 6 days than I did in the previous 3 years combined. In addition to constantly drinking hard liquor all day and night, starting with Ketel One Bloody Marys for breakfast, I had a background buzz of at least 2 dozen Coronas each day. Plus I hit the Martini ice bar hard.

So why wasn't I scrapped off the deck? I think the reason is that I was also taking at least a half dozen ginger candies each day to ward off seasickness which WORKED. But I also think it also prevented drunkenness.

I plan to do an experiment soon by taking ginger candies followed by downing most of a bottle of rum and then see if I can remain (mostly) sober.
