I hope Timothy Bella reads this. When you mention Rush’s name you are suppose to genuflect and say “We are not worthy”.

Considering all the people who have received the medal, it’s almost insulting that Rush got it, too. He’s deserving a higher honor than the one those ignorant losers got.

I remember when Frank Sinatra was Ill on his death bed and some were pushing for him to get that Medal before he died and that did not happen. Clinton was in office. After a lot of lobbying he was awarded it posthumously. I am glad Trump did it the way he did.

This POS sh*t is jealous he doesn’t have lung cancer so I very much wish for this POS to get it and Rush a miraculous recovery. Liberals are pure scum.

I think Rosa Parks did. She and others like her broke government-mandated segregation and made us all free-er.

I had forgotten that the segregation left in the 50s was still partly from government as opposed to private businesses (lunch counters, buses, etc). Ike desegregated the schools, though, so you’re right. Hard to envision things have changed so much.

Rush Limbaugh joins the likes of Mother Teresa and Rosa Parks as recipient of highest civilian honor I know who Rosa Parks and Mother Teresa were and I respect them. But they weren't family to me.
Last night was the closest I will ever get to receiving the Presidential Medal of Freedom MYSELF.

The initial bus segregation was ALL government-driven. After the laws were passed, the bus-drivers ignored it for years until the governments started threatening to throw THEM in jail. That said, by the 1950s it was ingrained in the way things are, in addition to the laws.

Rosa Parks was an NAACP employee that was used to stage a fake race incident. Posts like this cheapen FR. Would you have done what Rosa Parks did even if someone paid you? She wasn't someone from Actors' Equity.

Don't get me wrong. I'm a fan of some of the people on your list. What's interesting about it is that only one person on it might be said to be on it because of advocacy of FREEDOM. (I'm thinking of Bob Dylan.)
CERTAINLY Rush Limbaugh is a advocate of Freedom.

Interesting insight. Good point.
To: Still Thinking
Nothing against Mother Theresa or Rosa Parks, but Im not aware of what if anything either did to limit the size and reach of government. Thats the definition of freedom and it IS a Medal of Freedom, correct? EXCELLENT point! Rush is all about promoting love of freedom.
In fact, the video of his reaction to the honor is what
a lifetime patriot being recognized for patriotism
looks like.

Brilliant move on Trump’s part giving Rush the medal at the speech.
