I can’t think of a bigger endorsement of “political revolution” than last night’s cluster**** [ed] in Iowa.

It’s hard to tell where incompetence ends and corruption begins. Or if there’s really any difference. Incompetence, in this instance, is functioning like a fifty-foot ****-heap [ed] upon which Mayor Pete is more than happy to scale and plant his flag.

The Sanders campaign, however, was ready with their own internal data, reporting totals from nearly half the precincts. According to their count, Sanders is in first place, five points ahead of Buttigieg. This seems to be the growing consensus. According to Dave Wasserman of the Cook Political Report, “there’s virtually no question Sanders won the most caucus support” in the first round and that the final tally “leans Sanders,” an assessment echoed by Nate Cohn of the New York Times.

Obviously a site that calls itself "Jacobin" is a hard core Leftist site that would gladly chop out heads off with the guillotine. But I get a laugh how much they hate Buttigieg. I can understand as he is a sniveling grease pole climbing credential checking weasel.

I may (or may not) wonder what the deal was with the coin flip. _Really_ looked like an inept attempt at slight-of-hand to get a particular result; hard to believe someone tasked with flipping a coin to break a tie would so apparently not actually understand how “flip a coin” works (someone was actually explaining it to him), and his hand movements sure looked like he was trying to force a result favoring Buttigieg.

Recall that back in 2016 six coin flips were used to break Hillary-Bernie Iowa ties. Hillary won every one of them. The chances of that happening fairly are 1 in 64.

Right now, Sanders and Mayor Pete are neck in neck with 70% of the precincts counted. I predict that Sander’s lead will increase as we get to 100% of the count. I think this is deliberate.
