I teared up when the President read this to Rush. Rush is a great American, Patriot. This medal is well deserved.. Congratulations Rush.. We’re Praying for you and your family.. Been a loyal fan since 1991 or 1992.. Thanks Rush..

I sent an email to the White House the day before yesterday addressed to the President as follows:
“Dear President Trump:
Please give Rush Limbaugh the Medal of Freedom. I can think of no man more deserving for his lifetime of service towards the greater good of our Country than him. His ability to make complex political issues understandable to our vast citizenry is glorious to behold.
Honoring Rush Limbaugh with this Medal would be a wonderful acknowledgment of his truly outstanding career. He is the consummate Patriot and a hero to many. My family and friends love him.
Rush has a serious medical condition now to deal with, and needs all the love and appreciation that conservatives of all stripes can muster on his behalf. You as President can do your part also, big time, by acting quickly as timing is important now, for the obvious reasons; bestow upon Rush the Medal of Freedom.
Just as an aside, I am so thankful that you are our President at this time in history, and cerebrally speaking, I love you for being just you, both as an inspiration and a fighter. What a combo!

My fervent request above, along with probably those of so many others who sent the same request to the President, was answered tonight. Thank you Mr. President, and thank you Rush Limbaugh for helping us keep life and politics in perspective while being such a wonderful spokesman for our conservative cause.
I was thinking how proud his dad and grandfather must be. Also, his mother.
What really got me right in the old bread basket was the veteran in the gallery coming home to meet his wife and kids. That had me tearing up. This president knocked it out of the park.

Trump honoring Rush tonight was absolutely awesome moment- heck, the whole SOTU was awesome- I mentioned to my relatives who were watching this too that no president has ever gone this far in honoring anyone- Also really loved when Pres Trump announced to the wife that her husband was there i n the crowd- and I commented “Ya know? Only President Trump would have thought to do something like that, And i could picture him saying, after he learned about this woman “Do whatever it takes to get this fella home RIGHT NOW!- Drop everything and get it done- this woman deserves to have him home for a surprise”

Obama in his narcissism, couldn’t even think to do something like that because everything was always about him- and no one else- He wouldn’t have liked ot see the spotlight taken off of him during his SOTU speech- sheesh- i just held my nose and quickly skipped through obama’s 2016 SOTU speech and not once did he introduce and honor anyone in the audience-

What Nancy did tonight was so childish, so petulant, so ignorant- that she should not just be censured, but should lose her position as SOH

I’m sure many on here know the crushing feeling of a doctor walking in and saying there’s good news and bad after a biopsy. Hell you know what the bad part is. Question is where, when, and how do we start the fight.
Ditto the joy of seeing our loved ones after a long deployment. Also, many know the crushing weight life can lay on you. Tonight while our President gave us an update on the state of our country, he also gave us examples of some successes. Up beat? Yep! Gonna get better? Yep. Still got work to do? Yep! Well who is gonna do it? Us that’s who and it seemed to piss the Dems off. Anybody out there get this? US. MAGA. I’ve lived through both issues so far. The biopsy and the deployment. One is sad the other was my greatest moments. It was the best SOTU address I’ve ever heard. Thanks MR President.
