Yeah but what are the odds that any of them play by the rules and don’t start shooting early.

“Find and recruit some moderate, pragmatic, appealing, and intelligent candidates who fundamentally see the good in America as founded, and run on and actually believe in a positive pro-America agenda...”

LOL! The cognitive dissonance is strong in this one!

Um, Mr. Blackmon...those folks are called conservative patriots (nationalists) and would never be a D’rat.

The D’rat party can only wither and die, the GOP become the leftward party, and a vigorous new conservative and patriotic party arise and grow rapidly.

“a Republican Party which will also be forced to undergo its own metamorphosis and evolve into a genuine conservative party.’

It already is, and it ain’t a phony “genuine conservative” like the Never Trumpers.

It’s TRUMPS party now.

An America First, Sell it Here Make it Here, limited immigration to skills AMERICA NEEDS, increasing wages, more school choice, 50% (to start) reduction in Goobermint, Constitutional carry, Ending the endless wars Political Powerhouse with 80% support of Citizens of all stripes, colors and faiths.

I can go for that.

I couldn’t disagree more. The Dimocraps need to keep going in the direction they currently are. They will continue to loose more and more of main stream America!

I predict the Democratic Party brand will be irreparably damaged, and break up. When that happens, a new party will emerge with new leadership and a new message. It will no doubt be liberal, but it will be, at least at first, a reasonable counter to a more conservative Republican Party; a Republican Party which will also be forced to undergo its own metamorphosis and evolve into a genuine conservative party.
DJT already conducted a hostile takeover of the Republican Party, pretty much moving it towards what Perot’s Reform Party had been.
The media will also be forced to reform itself, or it will ultimately die with a viewership of only about ten percent of the country watching or believing them. Sooner or later, the outside money propping them up will dry up and they will have to compete for advertising dollars by being truthful and “fair and balanced”. To that end NPR and NPT should be defunded as they are obsolete, serve no purpose and need to be forced to stand on their own merits; taxpayers don’t need to be forced to fund a liberal-lite mouthpiece that has a smaller audience than CNN.
Because
People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public, or in some contrivance to raise prices. - Adam Smith, Wealth of Nations (1776)
it was inevitable that journalism would coalesce into the cartel usually called “the media.”

Because journalism is about news - departures from publicly known plan - and because plans are generally optimistic and departures from plan are ordinarily bad news, journalism is systematically negative. As all members of the journalism cartel are perfectly aware.

Despite knowing that journalists are systematically negative, the journalism cartel claims that journalists are objective. That is its “conspiracy against the public.” It is intrinsically untrue, because objectivity is an aspiration rather than a state of being. It also functions as a motive for journalists to go along with each other to avoid the charge of being “not objective, not a journalist.”

The claim that (systematically negative) journalist are objective is, de facto, a claim that negativity is objectivity. And that claim is a perfectly serviceable definition of cynicism.

But cynicism about everything is inchoate. Journalists are cynical about society. Regarding government - in a very real sense the opposite of society - journalists are naive. And that combination is the proper definition, IMHO, of socialism.

The 1964 New York Times Co. v. Sullivan decision was unanimous - but according to Justice Scalia it was wrongly decided. Scalia asserted that the First Amendment was crafted to not touch the law of libel. And that in asserting that

". . . libel can claim no talismanic immunity from constitutional limitations. It must be measured by standards that satisfy the First Amendment”
Justice William Brennan and the entire Warren Court erred in Sullivan.

Republicans should be allowed to sue for libel (Democrats never have to).

Before you can have that kind of party, you have to replace the ones who want to meet the Democrats halfway on destroying the country by supporting amnesty.
Grhamnesty, Rubio, Hoeven, Murkowsky, etc.

Incredibly, while George McGovern was wiped out by Nixon, the ‘Rats had a net gain of 2 seats in the Senate (one of them was Joe Biden’s 3,100 vote victory over elderly incumbent J. Caleb Boggs in Delaware), and only lost a net of 12 seats in the House, still managing to elect a 243-192 majority.

So, it is not a foregone conclusion that if Bernie is the ‘Rat nominee, the GOP will win both the Senate and the House.

The biggest winner in Iowa last night though might be Joni Ernst, who would have to benefit from the Iowa Democrat Party discrediting itself.
