The podcaster was repeating a popular myth about Bernie Sanders.

In 1971, he argued that it was a disgrace that there were so many millionaires in the Senate.
"Nobody should earn more than a million dollars," he said in 1974. When he first ran for the Senate, he called for a 100% tax on wealth of over $1 million a year. These days, that’s just how much he makes.

Consistently supporting an evil and stupid ideology like socialism / communism may make you honest but it doesn’t make you admirable.
All that consistency means is that he’s always wrong.

So Rogan’s standard for supporting someone is being consistent at being WRONG his whole life??
He’s as honest as a Denver man can be.
Ah,the good ol’ days of communism..where most were treated equally....they all starved together..were executed together if they challenged the state..and lived like peasants together...except the Bernie’s..it was nothing but the best..good food ..good drink..women..and a real sense of COMRADery.
That was my first thought, too. He has been a communist his entire life, but has never admitted it. He keeps it HIDDEN.
He is fundamentally dishonest...as all communists are because they deny the very first principles of life. YOU own your body, YOU have a God-given right to defend your life, and YOU have a God-given right to the fruits of YOUR labor.
Communists deny these rights and will lie to cover up the fact that they do deny those rights.
Say this for Bernie, he doesn’t sugar-coat his objectives when it comes to “social justice”. Never mind that the term itself is a serious example of an oxymoron, in that social justice is the almost complete antithesis of just about every other kind of justice out there. Now that Bernie, through a lifetime of shrewdly pandering and accepting some money over the threshold of the back door, has achieved a net worth probably in the neighborhood of a million or more, this disdain tor wealth rings a little hollow, but golly, folks, it’s not like it was REAL money or anything. If a guy don’t watch our for himself, who will? After all, if this is going to be a Socialist state, maybe Bernie is the right person to make it work, this time.

There’s been substantial monetary inflation (~500%) since 1974.
And, just as the Left has long claimed, this message has a substantial audience - probably big enough to win the Democrat primary, if not the election (yet).
Abysmal economic education has led America into very perilous times.
I wasn’t exactly a Rogan fan, but I lost quite a bit of what respect I had for him after that illogical pronouncement about Bernie.
