Praying Mantises will kill hummingbirds.
They stab them with their front legs.
Well you got yer little bitty wolf spiders, your medium wolf spiders and your Godzilla sized wolf spiders.
The last two are OUT! Those guys are squish on sight.
But the little ones, those guys are awesome. They are only about a quarter inch big or so.
“When you remove the bushy tail a squirrel becomes a rat.”
Correct! I call them tree rats and dispense with them often. Those damn tree rats eat my pecans, my peaches and one of the little Bast—ds ate up the wiring on my car in the engine compartment. That cost me several hundred dollars.
A dead Tree Rat is a good tree rat.
Odd point about the lady bugs bright colors and spots. They are poisonous to birds that eat bugs. The whole purpose of the bright coloration is to tell the birds, “I am a lady bug and you will get very sick if you eat me.”
First examples of those I met spent much of their leisure time on the concrete of our driveway in New Mexico. I was 8, my sister 5; our idea of Fun With Ball-Bugs involved snapping or flicking them with our fingers as you would flick a speck of dust off... they rolled and rolled and when they stopped, unrolled and carried on crawling.
Fun :)

The tree rats gnawed holes in my soffit and caused me over a thousand in damages to get the holes repaired and the smell cleaned from my attic, so I know what you are saying.
But he lives in the penthouse. That mean anything?

Just more energetic than the squirrel?
OR
does he believe in his own press clippings, generated by his publicist?
Yes, rats can climb, remember the greased lines and ‘rat guards’ in shipyards.
When I was a kid I played with stink bugs, grasshoppers, crickets, pillbugs, and those little black beetles.
“Lady bugs are cool, Asian lady beetles are a pain in the butt......”
I never sat on an Asian Lady Beetle...
Sorry - couldn’t help it...
