Somebody please inform Roberts that the right to confront one's accuser is recognized in both the Magna Carta and the US Constitution.

(1) This is not a criminal trial and therefore, the 6th Amendment is not a governing factor. (2) Under the Constitution, the Senate has the sole authority to set the rules for the impeachment trial -- not the Chief Justice. (3) Chief Justice Robert's constitutional role is to preside over the impeachment trial -- subject to the rules established by the Senate.
