It’s not the deaths that should concern anyone. It’s the people who get sick and fill up the beds. It’s the people in the ICU for the week. They will be in addition to the high levels of patients ALREADY in the hospital.

Sure, they might all survive and that is wonderful. But what happens when you have a heart attack...and there is no room at the Red Cross Inn.

This is not about dying from the flu. It’s about overwhelming the system. It’s about the length of time people are sick. And it’s about economies and production systems getting restrained or shut down.

It’s a personnel and economics issue as much as a health issue.

This is what gets me with the ‘it’s just like a bad flu’ people.

If you get strep throat in the middle of this, you’ll have to visit a clinic. If that clinic is wall to wall coronavirus patients, you’ll get that too. And they MIGHT be out of antibiotics for your strep because they’ve used all of them on the pneumonia patients...

Heart attacks, car accidents, etc...you might be on your own.
