A word about the events of this week
Just finished the White House defense present their case to the Senate, thinking about a President who speaks at a Pro-Life rally for the first time; a day after being a virtual shot-caller in Davos. All this while some folks are still scratching their heads over the success of the Second Amendment Lobby Day in Richmond VA. It got me to thinking
When was the last time such a heavily armed presence of 20,000+ scene in Richmond (or any other American city for that matter)?
1860s perhaps?
Is it possible that another reason for the success and large attendance at the Richmond protest wasnt just about defiance of a rouge governor, but possibly a rouge impeachment?
Think about it

first off there were approximately 100,000 people in Richmond on the 20th.
Just as the Democrats in Virginia do not care what the citizens want, the Democratic US House does not care in the slightest what the American people want.
The Democrats have fired up the conservative base quite well.
I stand corrected. In that case, there hasn’t been that kind of armed presence in an American city since the 1860’s. Point made.
Thank you.
Walp, there were some gay folk there with their rainbow Gadsen. d;^)
.
Sorry, couldn't resist..

And the Governor as well.
I had no idea Governor Northam had graduated from wearing blackface to wearing rouge. This should make him popular with the alphabet people.
I’m glad Virginians are standing up for their Second Amendment rights and I hope their legislators and governor take note for future elections.
My $0.02 on CW2, as many on here seem to want, is to be careful what you wish for. Civil wars are not fought by men in their 50’s and 60’s, which I estimate to be the average age on FR. They are fought by men aged 15-24. For all the hype about Gen-Z being more conservative than Millennials I haven’t seen any evidence of it.
Men in their 50's and 60's do fight political and cultural civil wars, which we are in the middle of.
I was there I do not know how many were in attendance but it was more than 20K, how much more I don’t know because FOR SOME REASON NO ARIAL SHOTS ARE BEING RELEASED OF THE EVENT.

Here’s one. Warning there are 8 minutes of commercials on the front end.

I’m not one of those wanting cw2. I believe it started back on January 20th 2017
I need a shot from about 3,000 feet at around 12:00 noon.
Cultural civil wars, sure. Old guys are just as capable as anyone else of making persuasive arguments on the Internet and marching for life, 2nd Amendment rights, etc.
But in an actual shooting war? The guy who pulls his wounded comrade out of the danger zone and carries him to safety is not going to be a 60 year old with a bad back and arthritic knees. The US armed forces impose a maximum age limit on recruits for a reason and it’s not because they doubt the patriotism of senior citizens.
there are quite a few aerial shots in that video. the first of which is about 4 or 5 minutes in.
Funny how a 60 Y.O. guy COULD carry a guy to safety albeit slow and not often where as a most women of any age cannot.
there is a decent shot @2:46 or so, as well.
No, those are roof top pictures with no time stamp. The difference in the crowd size from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Am was astounding. At 10:00 you could still walk around at Noon you couldn’t move literally.
