The Levin and Steyn spat is because Levin is part of The Blaze Network team; The Blaze nagged Steyn to do a show for them which Steyn really didnt want to do. Steyns contract required The Blaze to do certain things which The Blaze was unable to provide. After a period of time, Steyn basically quit and sued The Blaze for about $8 million. Steyn won the lawsuit and also got attorney fees.
I dont know if Levin has a financial interest in The Blaze, but I suspect he did/does based on his reaction to Steyn winning his lawsuit.

It was before CRTV merged with Blaze and it was the other way around.
Started out with Cary Katz, the (sleazeball) founder of CRTV, suing Steyn for $10M. Steyn counter-sued and won. Sleazeball Katz tried to game the court system to prevent Steyn from collecting. Conrad Black tells all about it here:
