I’m not worried about that since I haven’t had a ticket in ten years. The last time I went to driving school was when I lived in CA and did 65 in a 55. I explained how the interstates were designed for 70mph and the class was stupid.

That 55 MPH speed limit is probably 65 now. In any event, most of the interstates are designed for speeds much higher than 70 MPH. (After the Republican Congress repealed the "double nickel" in 1995, the State of Montana had NO daylight speed limit for two years; anyone caught at a buck or higher was pulled over and given a warning.)

When Clinton was in office, Montana was threatened by FedGov, to post speed limit signs, or FedGov would withhold Montana tax allotted money for federal highways.

Montana tried to push back, but Clinton FedGov Environmental authority made it happen.

Have to dig it up, but this did happen.

Drove across Montana during that time, Oregon to North Carolina trip. It was pretty cool. Now I stick to no more than 5 mph over posted speed. Most State Troopers are "nine mile men". But not all.
