We have known about this guy for at least two years. Can’t get his 302’s.Why do we have to count on Flynn’s attorney. where is the AG? DOJ? Something is seriously wrong. Trump needs to fire Wray and get to the bottom of this. Last we heard Bruce Ohr is still with the DOJ. WTF!

The federal lifer pukes involved in the ‘resistance’ have likely been assigned to sit at empty desks in basements without windows and without Wifi.

It is nearly impossible to fire a FEDERAL EMPLOYEE who is not on new hire probation unless there is proven wrongdoing and usually it has to be repeated wrongdoing after a plan to improve assessment period, etc.

The federal bureaucracy has these protections presumably to impede a tirade of firings by new administrations.

Appointed positions are different. Those that serve at the pleasure of the President can be fired on a dime for parting their hair wrong.

I believe Sally Yates was acting in an appointed position and she was fired for insubordination.

I’m not sure Bruce Ohr is appointed or not. I know that US Attorneys are appointed and they can be fired for any reason.

Most, not some, most federal employees learn to dance and deflect as they rise despite their incompetence because they learn how to shift blame to others and they learn to be part of a clique that self-promote each other. The most work they ever do is to make their resumes look like they walk on water with endless drivel of how they were in this position and that position ad nauseum.

There are many and at one time most were exceptional employees. But the last few decades have been a bananza for DC federal employees who have seen their average pay surpass the average pay of civilian Americans. Historically it was always the other way around.

We need really good federal employees. The current generation needs to be pared down severely. They do the country no good. It’s true that if half the federal workforce was furloughed, Americans wouldn’t notice a difference.

There are discussions inside the Trump Administration to move entire departments out of DC, for example the OPM. They can be relocated to say Ohio or Dry Gulch Oklahoma but I think no one wants them. Bringing federal employees to your state can be like adding vinegar to your milk.

Democrats o the other hand, will break every rule, tell every lie they can, and so fire anyone they want, federal employee or not. If the Trump Administration wants to fire the bad actors in the federal workforce, they would need to become Democrats. Kind of like fighting the Devil by becoming evil.

There are positive measures available. A RIF is what federal employees fear. RIF = Reduction in Force. But an Administration needs support of Congress to target bastions of bad actors that have spent their entire careers polishing their resumes while maligning and defaming coworkers who are competition. To get at those positions in the ‘deep state’ culture, a plan that targets those positions for elimination has to be put together while transferring the underlings to offices where hopefully they experience that proper ethics and morals is a plus to their careers as they continue their service in government. And it should be service, not a boondoggle or a ‘safe place’. Many are in that way now but their supervisors at the top have two faces with their corrupt face usually kept hidden from the lower ranks.

Exhibit A: Kevin Clinesmith; FBI Lawyer and typical example of the type of slime the current government workforce has allowed to take hold in government. To get rid of these types requires his supervisor to be canned in a RIF of their entire office while a master reorganization takes place.

For example, it is possible to terminate key employees at FBI HQ in DC and move the upcoming youngsters into an ongoing assessment process to see if they are fir for continued service. No doubt many were hired or transferred in because they reflected their supervisor’s twisted values which in this day and age have morphed into a culture of corruption or foul play (not murder, rather entrapping competitors). Yes, progressives infiltrate government and promote each other. You’ll know when asked to sell your soul. In the latter decades, being an atheist has become a resume enhancer.

I have met some Agency Directors whose personal and professional ethics are beyond reproach. They set the best examples for integrity in service. These that I am thinking of could easily walk into a position on the outside making at least 50% more in pay. Their distinguishing trait is their ability to carry themselves with strict moral authority. They are not as prevalent as they once were. Their biggest irritation today is not incompetent employees which have existed in government for decades now, but that they are needing to constantly, meaning all the damned time, worry about an underling who gets caught up in the dirty DC culture. Because that comes back to bite them and causes other government sharks to descend on the Director’s agency or office. The problem is not these Agency Directors, the problem is with those Directors that were promoted during the Clinton-Bush-Obama years. That cohort grew to what we have today. And they have the wrong values.

Exhibit B: James Comey.

Hopefully, this gives viewers an idea of how difficult it is for President Trump’s Administration to drain the Swamp. But remarkably, his Administration is in fact draining it, albeit slowly. I think it picks up speed in President Trump’s 2nd term.
