You are correct. Irwin Corey was all of those things. Watching the debate last night, my comparison between Joe Biden and Irwin Corey was based on Corey's comedy act. He was billed as "Professor Irwin Corey, the world's foremost authority." His act consisted of him coming out on stage and talking gibberish for several minutes.
