Saving grace is that McConnell, Graham and Cornyn all have to run this year.
McConnell punted on process until next week. I expect the bad news will leak out in time for the sunday shows. Likely an expanded role for CJ Roberts or something along those lines. The Senate can obviously make and change any rules they want.
They wouldn’t DARE they may want to ignore Trump’s popularity HOWEVER they can’t, they do ANYTHING to Trump the GOP will be DESTROYED they know that!!! I can’t imagine ONE single republican EVER voting again!!! They can ALL lose their seats in the house AND senate if that is what they want then go ahead and screw with Trump I DARE THEM!!!
If Mitch can figure out a way to screw Trump without catching blowback, be assured he will do it.
