These guys were not violent. The women actually got paid. This is about breach of contract violations. Dumb decisions based on greed were done by both sides. but these stories always push a man bad, women good meme and in this case it was men bad, women bad as well. And dumb. They were greedy and dumb and believed something too good to be true, and even those that thought it was iffy still went through with it.

How naive. You have no idea if they were violent. The criminal investigation supports that violence did occur in some cases.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2019/10/16/men-behind-girlsdoporn-lured-young-women-with-modeling-jobs-then-tricked-them-into-porn-fbi-says/#comments-wrapper

“A criminal complaint filed last week in San Diego, where the company is based, alleges that some of the women were threatened with ‘legal action or outing’ if they didn’t perform, barred from leaving shoots or even sexually assaulted.”

By the way, preventing someone from leaving=kidnapping. This is why there are criminal charges in addition to the civil suit. And these men are looking at possible life in prison, which is warranted based on the evidence.

Even other pornographers have condemned these guys:

“Consent is a huge thing within the business for obvious reasons, [Alec Helmy] said. “And there are a set of standard practices that everyone kind of abides by, and so it’s rather shocking to think that a seemingly full-fledged business was operating that way.”

You’ve got literally hundreds of women coming forward with the same accusations.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7858901/At-100-women-come-forward-claims-against-GirlsDoPorn-scheme.html

“Among the accused are website owners Pratt, and Wolfe, as well as adult film actor Ruben Andre Garcia, 31. The three have also been criminally charged with sex trafficking. Wolfe and Garcia are in custody, however Pratt is believed to have fled the country. The attorney representing the women - all aged between 18 and 23 - said ‘several hundred others’ have come forward since.”

Yes, many women get into porn and other adult entertainment with full consent and understanding of what they are doing. Some get seduced into it just as many get seduced into having consensual sex with someone they are not married to. But many of these women were caught in a trap targeting young, naive women who thought they were being offered a legitimate modeling opportunity. What happened to many of these women would be at least equivalent to date rape by comparison.

These women were harassed and stalked as part of the coercive control these men used as a tactic. They had pornographic images of them sent to their friends and family as a means to extort, silence, and exploit them further. If you think these women have not already been punished enough and that the men are being treated unfairly, perhaps you should join the cult of Muhammed. Those views are welcome among many of his followers.
