With some effort (Osweda has been very active on Twitter lately), I located the tweet in question and it was accurately quoted.
Considering the context, this appears to be nothing more than a careless mistake on Osweda’s part, not a deliberate attempt to distort. He is VERY definitely on Trump’s side on this.
His recent comments are well worth reading (hint: he doesn’t think much of Tucker Carlson).
