Coincidentally, I was doing some IDPA shooting on Saturday. One of the lanes had ten 8 steel plate targets set on posts at about 40.
I dont consider myself a good shot and managed to hit all of them except one on the first shot.
Of course the stress level was hundreds of times less.
Im in no way diminishing the bravery of Wilson and the other church men, just the coincidence of distance head shots.
Make it an 6" plate, and it would be about right.
A head shot is not a big target.
Still, even a non-fatal head shot would likely have taken him out.
You are correct though, it is a level of competence many have attained.
Way above average.
