I wanna hear the argument that the CIA is not subject to the AG and law enforcement. Is there any other federal agency that claims to be outside the reach of the attorney general for violating federal law?

“the Durham probe could force Haspel to choose between protecting her agency from Trump’s wrath and bowing to Barr’s wishes...”

If the CIA has nothing to hide, then she likely isn’t worried about “Trump’s wrath.” On the other hand . . .

Sipher asked why such a review would be “done over the head of” the intelligence community’s inspector general.

Because Michael Atkinson was part of the coup plot. Before being ICIG, he was previously with the DOJ-National Security Division, when he and NSD head John Carlin were approving phony FISA warrants, and knowingly issuing false “702” accreditation statements to the FISA court - when they knew that Admiral Mike Rogers had actually shut down all “702 Queries"

What if she’s protecting her agency from corruption?

“Trump’s wrath” is just silly.

And Politico is just being passive aggressive again.

Former CIA officials, however, said a U.S. attorney shouldn’t be showing up at a foreign government intelligence service’s doorstep at all ... asked why such a review would be “done over the head of” the intelligence community’s inspector general ... “I find this troubling, and I suspect many inside the intelligence community do as well,”

This is the Intelligence Community's problem with the Durham Probe. It is outside of their walls, and they are concerned that they will be unable to contain it.

There’s NO “bind.”

She’s a part of it and has been since it started.

If they don’t find that, then they are not really looking.

The Criminal State’s wicked attempt to overthrow the republic and its duly elected President.

2020 approaching. See Clearly.

Witness EVIL.

The most transparently EVIL administration in the history of this fabulous republic.

FTA:

Another issue former officials have flagged: It isn’t clear whether Durham has consulted with the intelligence community inspector general, Michael Atkinson, as part of his review, which reportedly evolved into a criminal probe in October.

Normally, potential intelligence community misconduct is reviewed by an agency’s internal watchdog, who would then recommend criminal charges if warranted to a U.S. attorney with jurisdiction, noted Greg Brower, a former FBI assistant director.

Atkinson is one of those that should be under investigation after changing the whistle blower rules to allow hearsay.

These cork soakers are starting to sound scared. Good.

Haspel, a veteran intelligence officer known for her fierce loyalty to the CIA ...

And there’s the problem. Loyalty to a government agency and not the people of the United States.

Since Gina Haspel was London station chief at the time coup operations were in full swing on her turf, she is either 1) a coup participant; 2) a witness; or, 3) an oblivious idiot who didn’t know what was happening under her nose.

Oblivious idiocy doesn’t look good on a CIA Director, though based on Carter Page, it might be a much-used tool in the CIA kit.

“Haspel, a veteran intelligence officer known for her fierce loyalty to the CIA...”

And there’s the rub - too many have “fierce loyalty” for their organizations instead of to the Constitution and the People....
Funny how they insinuate Barr is in overreach mode by not giving them a free pass ....
