He graduated near the bottom of his class at the Academy, he was bailed out of trouble repeatedly by his family connections, and he cooperated with the enemy when he was captured. He was never a hero. He was always out for himself, and always used whatever he could to get himself out of trouble but never others. That's pretty much the opposite of a hero.
All of those claims about McCain getting special treatment and cooperating with the enemy are second hand. Meanwhile, many with first hand knowledge, including at least 3 of his cell mates from his POW time, one of them a MOH recipient, have repeatedly discredited those claims. People who don’t have first hand knowledge shouldn’t spout off as if they do. In his youth, McCain put his life on the line for his country, was shot down in combat over enemy territory, injured, disfigured, tortured and imprisoned.
His actions after his release include plenty to be critical of without attacking his time in the service, particularly if you are just parroting 2nd hand info that reinforces your hate. On the other hand, there is a certain amount of karma in McCain suffering from the same kind of false attacks and innuendo that he spread about Trump.
McCain’s career should have been ended by the Keating 5 scandal, and our nation never should have been exposed to his treachery, corruption and betrayal.
Thank you, McCain was not a hero, never was and never will be, Now that the truth is coming out, John McCain was nothing more than a spoiled little boy that never grew up.
Calling John McCain a hero is an insult to every hero there ever was. Traitor, scumbag, wife cheater, ego maniac and finally worm food.
