When I was in grad school waaaayyyyy back when, I learned that a *lot* of muslims get here on student visas.
This was back in the day of the mighty petro dollar. As long as they had a letter of support from their bank, they were in.
If I recall correctly, student visas are the #1 overstays. Or is it tourist? Does it matter? Nobody pays the slightest attention to them.
They flock to aviation and engineering programs.
