I fixed that problem with my son a while back. He is paying for his college education. He told me that he was for Bernie because of “free” college. I let him know that after he finished paying for his education, he then got the privilidge of paying for some body else’s college for the rest of his life.
Thus ended the lesson.

We did the loans for his degree. He finished in three years. Then he did his masters and worked as a RA. His masters was free. Now he is in law school. He is doing all the FAFSA and other paperwork for his loans.
Thank god he had it all figured out prior to going to college. I don’t mind picking up the three years of his bachelors since he knows what he wants to do. He’s 24.
My daughter on the other hand, is paying for her bachelors in cash. Will take her a couple of years longer, but she is full time, great salary and only 26. Also knows what she wants to do.
Best part about all of this is we taught our kids to think for themselves. There is no group think, no socialism, no bullcrap.
