I forget sometimes that Donald Trump is president.
I’ve tried to convince myself that this is intentional; a willful misremembering of reality necessary to process his span in office. There’d be a nobility there, I think, as this would suggest I’m so empathetic, so down, so woke, that I can’t even sleep without tricking myself into amnesia.

I am sorry for your experiences. Those were my experiences during the Obama presidency when I tried to avoid black clerks. I imagine much has to do with the area. Also, it may have something to do with the body language of the person they are serving. As for the all black McDonalds, it is the only one in Crawfordville, Fl. It is fast and efficient, unlike the only other two in town.
I think there has been a dramatic turning point and I think that point was Trump and the Trump economy, which is like the rising tide raising all boats.
The same reason I went to bed last night without flossing.
