Yes...I've been trying to explain to my likeminded friends the reality and likely outcomes of when a body politic is diametrically opposed between the majority of the public (including law enforcement) who respect the federal constitution and the local people in power who do not. A short study of any Third World country will suffice.

As the political subdivisions of the state of Virginia increasingly signal their willingness to follow the US Constitution vice the state's laws, the more likely an incident like what happened here in Charlottesville is to occur. When that incident happens, and it was only that incident occurring that stifled the petty tyrants, we're in new territory. My personal poll says it will end ugly for the petty tyrants, and the Greedy Gestapo, aka the Virginia State Police!
