Academia, the MSM and the Billionaires' Non-Profit Boards, need to own up if they are influenced by Cultural Marxism of the Frankfurt School variety. (Take down the West by "making it stink.") Any discussion of their viewpoints about 2nd Amendment, needs to account for whether or not they support the following goal:
* An unreliable legal system with bias against victims of crime.
If you are against guns, then you need to declare where you rank the rights of crime victims.
Why would they want to disregard the average crime victim? As part of a plan to destabilize the middle-class so they ensure they have the smoothest control.
Who can you talk to? Leftists are trained, as a pressure tactic, to exclude anyone not in their camp--are Libertarians right next to Progressives? Are grass-roots Feminists who are not population-controllers right next to Pro-Lifers?--the most rabid leftists will attack someone even in a different camp that is right next to theirs, who they should be able to talk to even if their opinions don't change.
Are there people in the James Brady or Gabrielle Giffords camps, who are truly sympathetic to crime-victims down to the marrow of their bones?
Progressives are so concerned with conformity and efficiency many seem inclined to accept steam-rollering the average John-Smith crime victim.
Whoever wrote this needs a day job. Hopefully, nothing that requires writing.
Just so you can outsource your thinking process, so you won’t have to do it yourself.
This observation is probably not what the author meant.

Just about the worst example of their abuse of a crime victim was epitomized in their persecution of George Zimmerman.
